If you had the privilege to know Rick you know that he set quite the example for the rest of us. Just looking around this website you get a feeling for the way he lived his life an "active participant" who "enjoyed his life fiercely" and who made it a point to lend a hand were it was needed, share a smile or a laugh whenever the opportunity presented itself. I have tried for weeks to write something for this page - nothing I could come up with seemed like "enough". So, in that spirit, I am going to "get busy." In Rick's honor I am going to make it a point to lend that extra helping hand, stop for a minute & share that smile or laugh & grab every opportunity to make a positive impact - however large or small. I think that would make him smile. He liked the song "Roll On" by Kid Rock. "Roll On' is what I am going to do & I invite you to do the same - in celebration of this great man. It would be terrific if you could come back here from time to time & drop a message about something you have done in celebration of Rick's legacy. It doesn't have to be something grand - it can be something as simple as sharing a smile with a stranger. It is my hope that Walker, Rick's son, will visit this page too & see the impact his father continues to make on us all. So please Get Busy - Roll On...in honor of a cowboy witha heart as big as the world.

Comment: I have been spending the majority of my time taking care of my Grandparents. Before, I always meant to stop by but never made the time. I feel so blessed to have whatever time God allows me with them.
